Mark Carbery | Brand, PR, Market Insight
Longshore principal Mark Carbery’s 25 years in the car industry have centred on brand and communications, but his experience extends from concept vehicles to the customer journey. His career has divided equally between working in-house in international automotive companies and providing consultancy, working both B2B and B2C.
As Director of Communications Northern Europe for Michelin he launched the company’s last Formula 1 programme, having previously launched two major new car brands – Lexus and Daewoo, the latter with record share for a new entrant. He also has product experience, having worked closely with OEM planning, R&D and design teams.
He has worked in consultancy since 2001, providing clients from Toyota Motor Europe to RBS with strategic brand communications services and market insight. This includes serving as an associate of international agencies in the PR, advertising and brand sectors, giving them automotive expertise not available in-house. He has also worked extensively with market intelligence, research providers and academic institutions, and in fleet and retail.
